Strange MontgomerySome true stories are stranger than fiction. This tale however, is not one of those. Strange Montgomery is a band. A rock band pure and simple. Composed of JB Rodgers on guitar and vocals, Lisa Rodgers on vocals, Alfred Vitale on drums, and Louis Leone on bass, Strange Montgomery’s music follows a simple power-trio form with a bit of extra lyrical enhancement thanks to Lisa. The origins of Strange Montgomery trace back to JB Rodgers and Alfred Vitale who, after meeting many times, accidentally wound up in the same band, Em Dash, in the summer of 2005. The band consisted of 4 players, with JB on guitar and vocals, and Alfred on drums. Both men were very dedicated to playing and formed a side-project to do a different kind of original music. As a result, Strange Montgomery was born. Soon, Lisa Rodgers donated her amazing vocal talents and not long after that, a call was put out to find a bass player. Lou Leone fit the bill and waltzed into the audition with a monstrous, growling bass and an impressive knowledge of the 4 songs they had posted on their MySpace site.
